Great Bromley Fun Day & Hamilton Lodge Fete

The kick off meeting for Great Bromley Village Event committee took place on 6th October in the Village Hall. The committee is made up of representatives from the numerous organisations who have indicated that they would like to participate in some way together with like minded individuals as follows:

The committee is seeking an individual to look after Health & Safety in due course. If you might be interested in helping out in any way then please let the Chairman know.

It was decided that the event will be in the form of a village fete and will be called the Great Bromley Fun Day. It will be held between 2pm and 5pm on the 13th June 2009 at the Village Hall and cricket club. Hamilton Lodge will also be holding their annual fete at this time and it is intended that the events should compliment each other and facilities such as parking can be shared.

Proceeds from the day will be shared between local organisations taking part, the Village Hall and the Church Fabric Fund.

Update, Nov 2008:
The committee have now put together a draft list of events to be part of the Great Bromley Fun day on June 13th. These include, in no particular order:
BBQ; Bar; Fancy Dress; Face Painting; Tombola; Cake & Produce Stall; Coconut Shy; Children's Games; Welly Throwing; Croquet Course; Bowl The Pig; Stocks / Wet Sponge; Beat The Goalie; Splat The Rat.
In addition we hope to have attractions from external organisations including live music and numerous exhibits from local businesses, individuals and organisations.
