The Messenger Village Magazine

The team of volunteers who produce and distribute "The Messenger" do a fantastic job. This Great and Little Bromley village magazine, first produced in 1986, is highly valued and we are proud of the quality of content. From December 2016 the name was shortened from The Bromley Messenger to The Messenger.

The printed magazine is distributed free to every household in the villages of Great and Little Bromley. For those further afield who take an interest in the Essex Bromleys we have published a cut-down version here on the website. We also offer a very reasonable postal subscription - please ask. There are currently 11 issues per year with none being published for the month of January.

If you wish to contribute in any way to The Messenger magazine, including placing an advert or notice, then please contact Lizzie, our editor, by email on the1986messenger [at] gmail.com. Copy deadline is usually the 14th of the month before.

If you wish to see the complete, original printed editions, which go back further than the editions on this site, then these are available from the Essex County Records Office in Chelmsford and from Colchester Library (1990-1999 only).
